Mega Kit Instructions:
Cindy and Ginny will be doing the themes and
colors for the mega kits now but these rules still apply.
New Page for a Guide to
Making Elements April 4, 2008 this is
for those new ladies to give you an idea of how big to make things.
Respect copy write. Do you know where the images you are
using came from? If you did not create it yourself then someone holds
the copy write. Please make your own objects and background papers.
Each month's kit will be based on the monthly color palette and theme
posted in the Scrapbooking Forum.
Sign up to participate in the monthly mega-kit at
the
PhotoImpact International
Scrapbooking Forum. We are doing this in a Round Robin style
The first person on the list will use the color palette as a starting
point and make ANY component of the kit they wish. They will post a
sample in the forum when complete [500x500pixels]. The second person
will then design the next component of the kit based off of the first
person's and the color palette (ex;- ribbons, fibers, photo mattes,
tags, word art, etc). until we get to the last person on the list!
Try to complete your objects in three days time. Just let me know if
you can't. You may use another persons papers to make a matching frame
or tag etc. if you wish.
Each contributor can make as much or as little as they wish to add to
the kit. Sometimes frames can get real big in KB's maybe make 1
different or unusual one instead of 6.
We are enhancing what the previous girl or girls, have turned in.
Always look at what has been done before you.
Additional Guidelines:
-Make any papers 8.5x11 at 200 dpi. Limit is full 2 sheets per person
and not to exceed 2 MB when zipped. You can submit a seamless tile
also for papers. [400x400 pixel size limit] Submit in .jpg format
on your tiles and paper.
-Please make all components at 200 dpi to be compatible for printing.
-Make sure any elements designed are at a size compatible for a 8.5x11.
-Save all elements as a transparent .png or .ufo if necessary but
watch the size in KB's. Make a zip file of your submission and email it to
Ginny or Cindy the post at the forum will tell you which one.
-Always include a way of contacting you on the things you make to share.
Name your zip files: Your name/initials-sept08mk-item the 08
is for the year as I now have more than two years of mega kits up.
Your separate items should be named: Example:
re-sept08-tags02 [name the item and number if necessary] you may
use initials instead of your name~ re-sept08-tags05 If you have
different kinds of items in one zip call them elements01 or elements 02
etc. if you wish.
Make a page no larger on biggest side of 600 pixels .jpg showing all you made and post it to the SB
Forum as a New Topic, show Sept. Mega Kit and your name in
the subject line.
Have a great time creating!
There are 2 links that explain dpi Cindy
posted February 25th 2007. Very interesting
information and which did make us decide to change some of the above sizes.
