A Guideline for Embellishments or Elements

The size page we use is 8.5x11 inches [or 1700x2200 pixels]. Your page can be turned sideways instead of being long if you wish. We make all of our elements and papers in a Resolution of 200 dpi. I have been asked so many times what size a button or frame or ribbon etc., should be made to fit that size page. I am giving a few of the items we see on a scrapbook page but I am well aware that since there are hundreds of things you could make everything will not be listed. This page is mainly for all the new girls to have something to go by when they are first starting out. You must remember that these sizes are going to vary because of where you may want to place an item. Also to make just a frame, it will be impossible to give you a size because of your placement and what other things you may have on the page along with it. When possible save elements as a .png file separately NO background. Saving in a .gif with no background is fine also that's what I use for smaller items. PSD file save are huge files but will show layers separately, try and stay away from those type of saves.

Note: Decorated strips can be made in sections but make sure when duplicated they will fit together and not show a seam. example: Like a swag top for a Xmas theme. Just make one section of it if you wish. Could apply to other type themes also.
